The allrounder: Particle-rich, salt-containing, or very pure samples? This combustion analyzer is optimized for high throughput and offers the perfect balance between samples of all kinds.

TOC/TNb analysis for samples with complex matrices and particle contents

The versatile devices of the multi N/C 3300 series are suited for a wide spectrum of applications such as particle-rich surface water or wastewater, as well as drinking water or ultrapure water. Equipped with special loop injection technology, these devices offer especially high reproducibility for samples containing particles. Thanks to the high injection volumes (1000 - 3000 µL), they also offer exceptional sensitivity.

Detector modules for simultaneous TNb determination and accessories for analysis of solids can be pre-configured or retrofitted. The N/C 3300 HS provides even higher reproducibility and sensitivity in the trace range, for example, when analyzing pharmaceutical ultrapure water. An optional solids module can be added for direct swab combustion in the context of TOC cleaning validation.

Optimally equipped for a multitude of sample matrices

A wide range of applications, varying particle concentrations and high throughput require powerful technologies. Loop injection with intelligent rinsing technology achieves a detection limit of 4 µg/L C, while avoiding sample carryover when handling particle-rich samples. The flow injection from the syringe pump in the multi N/C 3300 HS makes the device ideal for the pharmaceutical analysis of ultrapure water.

The wide-range focus radiation NDIR detector with a measurement range of 0 to 30,000 mg/L TOC enables the measurement of undiluted samples as well as the precise detection of low TOC contents.

The Easy Cal function enables automatic calibration with long-term stability and standard recovery. The underlying VITA flow management system delivers these benefits by effectively compensating for carrier gas fluctuations. Not only does this mean that calibration is only required once a year, it also greatly simplifies the commonly requested equidistant 10-point calibration.

Our automation solutions make sample preparation and analysis more efficient and can be tailored to the needs of our customers. An extensive portfolio of autosamplers enables automatic acidification with parallel purging, magnetic stirring to homogenize samples, external needle rinsing to prevent carryover when handling particle-rich samples, and the processing of polymer septa for TOC analysis in ultrapure water.

TOC solids measurement can be included in the device configuration of a duo system, including automation, or without automation as an additional module. The HT 1300 is available as a solids module for the non-catalytic combustion of solid samples at up to 1800 °C (with additives) in a ceramic combustion tube. Horizontal sample introduction via ceramic boats enables the direct analysis of solid samples weighing up to 3 g without needing to wrap them into foil. Likewise, manual TIC analysis using direct acid digestion is also possible by adding a TIC module.

Upon request, a reliable electrochemical detector (ChD) can be integrated in the device for nitrogen determination. Alternatively, a chemiluminescence detector (CLD) can be added as a separate detector module - either during initial analyzer configuration or later.

The highly sensitive TOC/TNb analyzer with its integrated automated solids analysis function is ideal for contract laboratories that handle a wide range of sample types. High sensitivity across a broad working range makes it suitable for both high-matrix and pure water samples, as well as for less homogeneous solid samples. Robust loop injection technology with reverse rinse and parallel purging enables rapid operation in NPOC mode.

multi N/C 3300 HS

The TOC analyzer for applications at the ultra-trace level. By dosing directly from the syringe pump, the device can utilize high sample volumes of up to 3 mL, thereby achieving the highest sensitivity and repeatability when analyzing the lowest concentrations of TOC and TN.

The new intuitive software multiWin pro is your user cockpit, with all vital information presented on a single screen. It monitors all key system parameters, clearly presents the measurement results and enables comfortable and targeted operation thanks to its automated, user-friendly workflows. It also offers optional data integrity functions in accordance with FDA 21 CRF Part 11.

The software includes the following features:

  • Sequence table: Live results update, option to measure a single sample using different methods
  • Calibration: Automatic calibration during the measurement sequence with the calibration evaluation applied to subsequent sample measurements
